What we collect, why, and how to get rid of it.
We collect as little as we can get away with, and we tell you plainly what happens to it. No dark patterns, no selling your details, no advertising trackers. If anything here is unclear, email us and ask — that is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.

What we collect, and why
When you contact us
Your email address, and whatever else you choose to give us: your name, phone number, and what you tell us about your situation.
So we can read your message and reply to it. Nothing else.
Legal basis: legitimate interest — you asked us a question and we would like to answer it.
When you apply for a LIA placement
Your name, email, phone if you give it, school and programme, LIA period, any links you share, your motivation, and your CV.
To assess your application, contact you about it, and consider you for future placements.
Legal basis: your consent, which you give with the tick box on the application form.
When you sign up to the newsletter
Your email address.
To send you the newsletter. That is the whole purpose.
Legal basis: your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
When you just visit the site
Aggregate page statistics — which pages get visited and roughly where visitors come from.
To understand which parts of the site are useful. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not run advertising or profiling trackers.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
Where it goes, and how long we keep it
Contact messages and LIA applications arrive as email in our team inbox. We do not run an applicant database or a CRM for them — the inbox is the only copy.
How long
- LIA applications: 12 months from the day you apply, then we delete them.
- Contact messages: kept while we are talking, and for as long as the conversation is useful to the work. Ask and we will delete yours.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any email we send.
Who else touches it
We keep this list short on purpose. We do not sell your details, and we do not share them for anyone else's marketing.
Resend — delivers our email and holds the newsletter list. Contact messages and applications pass through it to reach our inbox.
Vercel — hosts the site and provides the aggregate page statistics described above.
Both are US companies, so your data may be processed outside the EU/EEA under the safeguards in their data processing terms.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to do any of the following, and we will:
- See what we hold about you.
- Correct it if it is wrong.
- Delete it.
- Restrict or object to how we use it.
- Send you a copy in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is what we relied on. That does not undo anything we did before you withdrew it.
How to ask
Email support@infinetcode.se. One sentence is enough — you do not need to cite anything or explain yourself. We will confirm when it is done.
If you are not happy with how we handled it
Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), the supervisory authority for data protection in Sweden.
imy.seCookies
We do not use advertising, marketing or profiling cookies, and there is nothing here that follows you to other sites. The site sets only what it needs to work — for example remembering your language choice, and a session cookie if you sign in to an area that requires it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we hold your details, we will tell you.
Still have a question?
Ask us. There is no such thing as a silly question here, and that goes for questions about your data too.
