LIA placements

Do your LIA with us

Work on real client projects with a small team that reviews your code and expects you to grow.

What's open right now is LIA placements. We don't advertise paid roles, but we read every speculative application that reaches us.

What LIA with us actually looks like

Real client work

You work on the same projects we deliver to clients — not isolated practice tasks invented to keep you busy.

Mentorship from a Microsoft MVP

You sit with senior developers who explain why something is done, not just what to type.

Code review from day one

Every pull request gets read properly. Feedback is direct, kind, and aimed at making you better.

A modern AI-assisted workflow

We're part of the Anthropic Claude Partner Network and build with AI tooling daily. You'll learn to use it well, not blindly.

What we look for

You're a student. We don't expect a portfolio of shipped products.

  • Curiosity — you ask why something works, not just whether it works.
  • Fundamentals — you can read and write code in at least one language.
  • Openness to review — you can take direct feedback without taking it personally.
  • Follow-through — you finish what you start, and say so early when you're stuck.

LIA developers who came before you

Students who did their placement with us and shipped real work.

How it works

    1

    You apply

Fill in the form below with your CV and a few words about what you want to learn.

    2

    We talk

A relaxed conversation about where you are now and what you want out of the placement.

    3

We agree it with your school

We sort out the paperwork and the period together with your programme.

    4

    You start

You get a real project, a mentor, and your first code review.

Questions students ask

Do I need to be from a partner school?

No. We work closely with NBI Handelsakademin and YH-utbildarna, but applications from any YH or university programme in software development are welcome.

What will I actually work on?

Real client projects on our real stack, not isolated practice tasks — with code review from day one.

Is the placement paid?

No. LIA is part of your education rather than employment, so it's unpaid and you keep your normal student finance.

Do I have to be in Gothenburg?

It's decided case by case. We're based in Gothenburg, but the arrangement is agreed with you and your school rather than fixed in advance — so ask.

Does LIA lead to a job?

There's no guarantee, and we won't pretend otherwise — LIA is education first. That said, it does happen: some of the developers who did their LIA with us have carried on working with the team.

What happens to my application?

It goes to our team inbox. We keep it for 12 months so we can consider you for later placements, and you can email support@infinetcode.se at any time to have it deleted.

Apply for LIA

Tell us who you are and what you want to learn. We read every application.

  • Where: our team email inbox. We don't have an applicant database, and we don't sell or share your details beyond the email provider (Resend) we use to deliver it.
  • How long: 12 months from when you apply, then we delete it.
